Lira, May 14, 2013. In Uganda, progress is booked at the clean water project for the Amuca community. The water tower is nearing completion, the location of the water source is determined and also very important: The village counselors gave their blessings. Every day, the Amuca population looks forward to the realization of the long-awaited water supply.
Last week, Peter and Chris arrived in Uganda. At that time the work on location was already in full swing. The construction of the water did already start. After a few days our dream team arrived in the village. Final arrangements were made with local contractors. After that, the activities succeeded rapidly.
A water tank of 10 cubic meters was purchased and delivered. A specialized company looked for the best locations to drill for water. Was eventually chosen after consultation with the village council for a final place. Drilling can begin.
Peter and Chris keep a blog, on which their progress is to be read every day: http://cruz.reislogger.nl/. Also at frequent times, fragments of their adventures can be seen in Youtube movies, like the one below.
